Localization is the process of adapting brochures, websites, software, film, and other content for a new, foreign audience. L10N is an abbreviation for Localization that uses the number ‘10’ to represent 10 letters left out of the abbreviation. Localization changes go beyond language translation and include alterations of music, colors, software coding, and many other elements, in order to accurately convey meaning to members of a foreign culture.
