Prague, 3 December 2018: Skrivanek celebrates its first anniversary of translating daily records for the Supplement to the Official Journal (OJS) amounting to over 2.1 million words.
December 1st, 2018 marked the first anniversary of global language services provider, Skrivanek, being awarded a long-term contract with the Publications Office of the European Union to translate daily records for the EU’s Supplement to the Official Journal (OJS) into all official EU languages. Skrivanek partnered with French digital solutions company, Jouve, to read, analyze and monitor the daily notices.
In the first year, Skrivanek’s dedicated project team, which consists of 200 linguists and 6 project managers at a special production center in Brno, produced an average of 10,000 translated words per day across a wide range of industries, including automotive, information technology, security and nuclear physics.
To date, the company has received 4,400 source files in eight different languages for translation from the OJS: English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, Polish and Greek, from which the company has produced 2.1 million words of translations into twenty-three (23) different languages.
The majority of the releases from the Publications Office have been of a time-sensitive nature, thus requiring Skrivanek to offer quick turnaround times while adhering to consistent quality.
Skrivanek has hit record record high daily translations due to the volume of records published by the Publications Office and has relied on its ISO 9001:2008 and EN 17100:2015 certifications to guarantee consistently high standards with each translation.
The company will continue as the contracted translation partner for the Publications Office in the coming year.
