This year marks a significant milestone for Skrivanek as we celebrate 30 years of providing exceptional language services worldwide. Since our inception in July 1994, Skrivanek has grown from a visionary startup into a global leader in the language industry, embodying a commitment to quality, innovation and cultural connection.
Our journey began with the foundation of Skrivanek s.r.o., a testament to our ambition and dedication to breaking down language barriers. By January 1999, under the Skrivanek brand, we had established a network of language schools across the Czech Republic, laying the groundwork for our expansion and emphasising the importance of education in our mission.
Quality has always been at the forefront of our endeavours. In October 2002, we were among the first in our field in the Czech Republic to implement a quality management system according to the EN ISO 9001 standard, a step that underscored our commitment to excellence.
Our global footprint expanded significantly in January 2005 with the opening of our first branch in the USA, in New York, marking our entry into the American market and solidifying our international presence.
Recognition of our efforts came in January 2006 when we were ranked 19th in The Top 100 Language Service Providers by the independent consulting organisation Common Sense Advisory. This acknowledgment was a testament to our growing influence and excellence in the language services sector.
Over the years we have continued to climb the ranks, consistently securing spots in the prestigious Top 100 Language Service Providers list, including notable placements in 2011 and again in 2017, where we were recognised among the top 50 language agencies worldwide.
In July 2021 we celebrated a decade of being recognised as a top player in the translation industry by Common Sense Advisory, a milestone that reflects our sustained excellence, innovation and leadership.
As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we look back with pride on our journey from a small Czech company to a global language services provider. Our success is a tribute to our dedicated team, our loyal clients, and our commitment to connecting people and businesses across the globe through the power of language.
